HealwithZeal Global CIC (London United Kingdom) is introducing a transdisciplinary open-access, free-to-publish peer-reviewed journal especially for the first-person voice and reflections of people’s first-hand lived experience of chronic conditions. This is an experimental new model of peer-reviewed writing, to put power back into the hands of those who live their realities.
This includes partners/spouses, parents, siblings, children, close friends, neighbours, work colleagues or managers, and teachers who provide frequent direct support to those living with a chronic condition, to inform policy, programs, services, research and innovation.
We’d also love to hear from community health or social workers, health professionals, researchers or scientists, policy-makers, program designers and implementers, funders, journal editors, social entrepreneurs, non-profit or small to medium business leaders who live with and /or with work focus on chronic conditions.
You don’t have to fit these moulds- the list is not exhaustive. Whether you are a lived experience champion, researcher, policy maker, funder, community organiser, or simply someone who cares: there is space for you here.
While standard academic formats and conventions are welcome, this is a space to explore new styles and formats of writing that may not fit the current conventions of academic publishing. Through the novel lived-experience-led peer-review process, we must collectively ensure the quality and value, rigour, ethics and validity of the contents as a shared responsibility, that the generated knowledge can be meaningfully and impactfully applied in real-world solutions.
