Abstract

Eman Shanan is a breast cancer survivor, patient advocate, and founder of the Aid and Hope Programme for Cancer Patients Care in Gaza, the first patient-led initiative of its kind. For over 15 years, she has worked to support women with cancer and chronic illnesses through psychosocial care, awareness, and community-led innovation. Displaced from Gaza by war, she continues to raise her voice globally to advocate for equity, dignity, and meaningful inclusion of lived experience experts in health policy and systems
